I really try not to be a complainer, especially when something is out of my control, but I just need to get my beef with the snow off of my chest. As soon as I see snow falling, I start to worry about the following:
-Slick Roads
-Wet Shoes
-Wet Socks
-Gloves
-Umbrellas
-Messy Hair
-Running Nose
-Slick Sidewalks
Just to name few... It's sad that I worry so much about the weather. I really didn't realize how bad it was until the weather was warm again. There is something about sunshine and warm weather that makes a person feel blissfully content.
It makes me smile how easily I forget the things I appreciate. Steve and I moved into a older home with only one sink in the kitchen and zero garbage disposal. I never realized what a luxury it was to have a two sided sink and a garbage disposal until I didn't have them. This experience has definitely taught me to really appreciate the small (very small indeed) things.

The Perfect Birthday
My perfect birthday would start with my entire family waking up at the same time in the same room after a huge sleepover. We would all smell great and look fantastic so that every second could be spent having fun and no time would be wasted getting ready for the day. For breakfast, we would have my favorite french toast casserole (which my family only makes on Christmas day).
After breakfast, we would go to a park and have fun playing, throwing a frisbee, and skipping rocks.
After the park, we would have lunch at a restaurant where they sing and give us free ice cream.
Next, we would all go shopping. Everyone will look at everything I try on, and beg to be the person who gets to buy it for me.
After hours of shopping we would either make homemade pizza or have a bbq depending on what I am craving.
Lastly, we would end the night with an out door movie. Each couple would have their one love sac to lay on, and it would be so comfortable that your neck couldn't possibly hurt. There would be a smorgousborg a movie snacks at our disposal, and the popcorn would stay hot no matter how long it was in our bowls.

Dear Blog
I can't believe it's March already and we are half way through the semester. Time really does fly when a person stays busy. A lot of things are going to be happening in the coming months. Steve's birthday is next Sunday, Jenny is coming to town the Sunday after that, then, Steve's brother comes home, it's conference, then my birthday, and the day after that school is over, then three family member's birthdays, my mother-in-law graduates, after that, more birthdays and holidays, and finally my baby will be here!!
So, nothing but good things to experience until little miss Miner joins our family. Life will change so much, but we are so happy that our family is expanding and we will be able to feel the joy of parenthood. Honestly, I never thought I could love my baby any more than I did when I heard the heart beat, then there was the ultra-sound, and that made me love her even more. I can't even begin to imagine what it will be like to hold her in my arms. What a wonderful gift we have been given...

Photographs
Do you ever look at a photograph and vividly remember what was going on in the world around the photographer? Sometimes I look at pictures of myself from the past and it feels like I can see a short clip from a movie. For instance, I have a photo of myself and my dog from when I was really little. On that day, I wore black pants, a purple shirt, and some suspenders with a variety of colorful hearts. I can remember my mom and dad taking me up the canyon on a long ride, I even feel like I can still see some of the things that I saw out the window as we were driving along. We pulled over and one point and my mom wanted a picture. So, I grabbed the dog, walked her to the side of the road (while she stood on two legs and I held her arms) and held her up for the picture. I wish I could write out what's going on in my head. It really does feel like a short and sweet film.

The Woman in Black
Last night Steve and I watched an extremely scary movie. There was a point in the movie when nearly every person in the theater screamed at once. All I could think about, besides not peeing my pants, was that it would've been so awesome if the theater would have filmed us and showed our faces as soon as the movie was over. I think I'll invest in the idea, who's with me?
I should probably also note that half of the local junior high student body was in our theater as well. At the beginning of the movie while things like the director's and producer's names were introduced girls were screaming. It was totally unnecessary, but I decided rather than be annoyed by it, that I would enjoy as though it were a feature provided to make the movie more intense. This worked out really well, too bad I can't apply the same theory in any other movie I go to. For instance, I recently saw War Horse, and the woman next to me was narrating the movie. She said things like "Oh, the horse is sad now" or "It's starting to rain." I cannot get over it, maybe if she had the voice of Morgan Freeman then it wouldn't have bothered me nearly as much...

How are you feeling?
Lately I have been asked the question, "how are you feeling?" more than I have at any other point in my life. The reason for this is because I am 3 months pregnant (or at least I think this is the reason). I feel bad when I reply with a simple answer because it's usually not the whole truth. I have never felt so crappy in my entire life- NEVER! And people have never been this genuinely concerned either. I wish I could say, "Well, let's see... I threw up everything I ate for four days straight. I would eat ten pieces of rice chex cereal and BAM, I'd throw up. It got to the point that my throat and the roof of my mouth were so sore from the acid that I couldn't even close my mouth. So, my Doctor prescribed a nausea pill commonly given to cancer patients undergoing radiation. The two most common side-affects are headaches and constipation. Lucky me, right?" So is it wrong for me to say "I'm fine"? What happened to the days when people would pass me in a hall and ask how I was doing, but would be around the corner before I could give them an answer? I miss those days.

A Brain Fart
Often, I wonder what others would think of me if I were to honestly share my thoughts. For example, my first day of class I realized there were a few things I absolutely love about BYU. I love smelling others perfume in the open air of the courtyard, watching the geeks skip steps down the stairs so they're not late to class, back-packs with wheels, and my very favorite- stumbling upon the many Rip Van Winkles. Why do I love these things? Because they make me laugh. I don't know whether this makes me a candidate for "the jerk of the month club" or not, but I don't care. Sometimes I want to know what others will think so badly that I consider writing about these things on facebook. I start to think of a really clever and witty ways to bring up back-packs with wheels. I honestly spend so much time thinking about what would be the funniest way to write a short comment- it's embarrassing. Then, in my mind, I imagine people going to my post and literally laughing out loud- they couldn't help but comment or like my post/status, right?
Come to find out, this is what makes my husband hate facebook. Just minutes ago he tells me that he can't stand people who write things on facebook just to see what others will say. Do you want to know what I said to him? I told him that that is exactly what I use facebook for! He says that facebook was made to "stay connected!" Let's be honest, it used for bragging, cyber-stalking, and displaying your wits.
